Bharat Jhunjhunwala, writing in the Indian Express, argues that PM Manmohan Singh cannot achieve the twin goals of growing the economy at 9% while simultaneously instituting welfare programmes for the poor. He further criticizes the UPA government’s policy approach for encouraging “dependency.” Given our openness to engage in constructive debate, we thought we should share this with our readers.
