Did Varun lie under oath?

We just told you how faculty and alumni at the prestigious London institutions, LSE (London School of Economics) and SOAS (the School of Oriental and African Studies) signed a petition disassociating themselves from Varun Gandhi who said he attended them. Well now it turns out that maybe they didn’t have to have signed a petition because Varun might have, er, lied under oath.
The Indian Express reports that independent reporter Raghu Karnad did a little bit of investigation when he was setting up the petition and discovered that Varun, in fact, attended neither school. He didn’t get in to LSE, and dropped out of SOAS.
